I got my 6-284 Wilson seater and Sinclair micrometer top today. This is my first try with this kind of die. I cleaned everything up and assembled as per instructions and I had it sitting in front of my laptop all together like it should be. I had to lean down and noticed that I could see light through a gap between the micro top and the top of the seater on one side. It doesn't seem right but like I said this is my first rodeo. I took it back apart and it looks like the seating stem is not straight in the knurled piece. With the knurled piece, containing the seat stem removed the bottom part of the Sinclair top sits flush on the die but when the stem is in the die the whole micro top is cocked to one side. I'm sure this is not right but wanted to check.

My Wilson Seater dies with the Wilson Micro top as well as the Sinclair add-on Micro top sit flush with no light showing. Call Sinclair and relay your finding. They may need to send you a new one. Your situation sounds like an anomaly because Sinclair usually provides products with excellent fit.

I have 2 Sinclair micro adjustable tops for my Wilson seater dies (6ppc & 222 rem) and they both have flush contact, no light showing.

That's what I figured. I should have called them first anyway but it was after hours before I found it. Glad I dropped my pen or I might not have noticed it all.

I called Sinclair and was instructed to send the top back to them and they would send me a replacement. Everything went just that way and the new top sits flush on top. They even sent me a check for $2.07, which I can only guess is to split the return shipping with me. Thanks for the service Sinclair.

Just my 2 cents worth, but Sinclair should have paid for return shipping as well as shipping to send out a replacement. They sent you a faulty product, you did not change your mind and just want to return something............................

Agreed but its better than a swift kick like you would get from a lot of companies now a days.
