FN Police Special bedding

A good friend has asked me to pillar bed his rifle. The gun appears to be a M70 type action and the stock is a McMillan. The gun has a detachable magazine and straight sides to the action between the trigger area and the pad jsut behind the recoil lug.

There appears to be almost nothing to bed as the only areas touching the stock are the areas just under the stock screws. I certainly can pilar the stock, but see almost nothing to bed.

Any experience in bedding one of these?

I don't think you'll have much luck with a pillar under the front action screw if it has the detachable mag system. For the best source on bedding these, call GA Precision. They do the bedding on a lot of them.

I remember some excellent posts - pictures on this very subject.

Got some excellant advice and bedded the rear "normally" and at the front I used two aluminum rods in front of the action screw. It went well and my friend is happy.

Thanks for the help.
