Fluid Film case lube??

Hi Guys,,,is anybody using FF for case lube?,,,im resizing Lake City 06 to 6.5-06,,i have Imperial but it was still kind of tuff,,tried the FF and it was much easier,,when I was cleaning pockets I just wiped with a clean cotton rag,,FF is lanolin based,,should I worry about powder contamination??

Lanolin is minimally soluble in alcohol but can form a bit of an emulsion if shaken with 91-99% isopropyl alcohol. I use 91% because it is easy to find at pharmacies. Others use HEET (gas treatment to 'remove' water from fuel). I put about tablespoon of liquid lanolin (100% 'pure' type I purchased from a health food store...can get on Amazon) in about 4oz of alcohol in a small spray bottle and shake vigorously. It will not dissolve much but will form an emulsion; some will remain in the bottom of the bottle. I spray about 4-6 squirts in a gallon size freezer bag and rub the sides of the bag together to coat it well. I drop 20-30 cases (depending upon cartridge size) in the bag, squeeze about 90% of the air out and close it. I rub the cases around, mixing them well in the bag, for about 2 minutes then dump them out into a clean tray and repeat until all the cases I will size in that session are lubed. I then size them. Lanolin is not as easy to remove as Imperial wax but can be removed with a dry media tumbler. I don't tumble my cases but rinse them in a large pail with a little fast drying mineral spirits to remove the lanolin and dry in a case dryer (same as a food dehydrator) or air dry if not being loaded in a couple of days. I like this method because I can evenly lube 150+ cases in about 10 minutes.

Edit- I also use campstove fuel, or 'white gas', I get from Academy Sporting Goods by the gal at about 2/3 the cost of Naptha (fast drying Mineral Spirits) to rinse the lanolin off the sized cases.

One thing I found with this formula is to let the cases set in the air for 5-10 min. Seems like they do better when they set for a little while. This is easier than imperial.

Thanks for mentioning that. Don't run the cases in the press if they still are damp with alcohol; it will definitely have more resistance to sizing. It only takes a few minutes to dry....if that.

Sorry guys,,been workn crazy,,i just rubbed a little on out of a gallon can I had in garage,,heat from my fingers thinned,,,didn't take much
