FLORIDA STATE 1000yd GONG SHOOT

Eric both directed and won the two-day shoot. Quite an accomplishment. Lots of shooters, lots of close competition and a well-run, enjoyable shoot. Here's a couple shots from the line on Saturday.

Last year the Florida State Champion came from out-of-state. The champ is from Florida now but next year it could be YOU from wherever.

I see Charlie Brown on bench 11 with that big gun, and Jim Carr wearing his Savage shirt. How many Savage's were in the shoot? Rifles, not the competitor.

To answer the first question. Exactly half of the shooters were using Savage Action rifles. Our club is located in Myakka City,Florida. We are about 20 miles east of Bradention on State road 64. The name of the club is Manatee Gun and Archery Club. It is public and all are welcome. Eric

Sorry I did not answer the second half of that last question. I am still recovering from this weekend. The format is listed on the match web site http://florida1000yardgongchampionship.com . You do not need to be a member and everone is welcome.
