Floating A CZ 527 barrel

I just bought a new CZ 527 Varmint (bull barrel tapered) in .204 with walnut stock. I can slide a dollar bill between the stock and barrel below the scope but the barrel is touching the stock at the very front of the stock. Did CZ design this pressure point in the sock or should I remove the wood so it free floats all the way?

I had to free-float my barrel; the thing would shoot well one day and bad the next depending on temperature, humidity, etc. Then I had to have a real bedding job done before it would shoot well. The walnut CZ uses is kind of soft, so I had mine pillar bedded and it turned it from a PITA to shoot to a joy to shoot. Your mileage may vary but I'd consider bedding no matter what.
