flags for 600 yards

I am gonna break down and buy a good set of flags for my 600 yard home range,,out to about 175 and from 450 to 600 is pretty flat but between 175 and 450 is maybe 20-25 ft low,,I work in aluminum extrusion and can get poles long enough to raise the flags to my sight line no problem,,my question is how many are most of you serious match shooters using,,ever 100 yards,,50 yards?? I figure the more the better but not sure how many you can actually keep track of,,evenly spaced how many,,,6,8,10,12

As long as you can see them in your scope while shooting that far, as many as you can afford but most including me say the first 100 yards is the most important.

I can run the poles at work to make them any length I need to put them in my scope,,

what I planned to do was put my post hole digger on the tractor and dig a hole where the flags need to be and pour a bag of quickcrete in with a 1.00 ID pipe in the ground so I can just slide a pole with 1.00 OD in the ground with the correct height to put the flag in the bottom of the scope,,but I could put it in the top also,,maybe the first couple in the bottom and the rest in the top??

I used lengths of conduit and turned couplers to put them together. Turned out a top pieces to fit my flags. The tall ones i take down and put the flags on…… jim
