FL sizing with bushing die

I have a 306 bushing and when sizing i feel a lot of resistance when case is coming out of die. Expander on the die is 281". I use rcbs lube on the case body. Nothing inside the neck. I assume I have been doing this incorrectly for past year. But the load and rifle have shot great.

shouldn't it just kiss the inside case neck when pulling out of the die?

Need some help from experienced shooters on this one.

Most of us trash the expander button.

No matter what bushing you use you cant change neck tension with that button.
