Fixed 8x power scopes and thereabouts

Does anyone currently happen to make a scope with a fixed focal length in the 8 power range or just about there. I see a lot of 6 power scopes and one or two 7 power scopes. Wondering if there is such a thing as an 8 power scope?

Thanks.

I THINK the answer to "is anyone currently making a fixed 8x" is no.

But if you put up a "want to buy" ad you could find a used one pretty easily...

SWFA currently makes a 6x and a 10x (as well as 12, 16, and 20x). And a "HD" 10x also.

S&B might still be making the 8x Klassic or 10x PM if you want to spend that much...

Good luck.

Off the top of my head Schmidt and bender, meopta, kahales, lynx, zeiss and probably a plenty more. Usually 8x56. Originally European for hunting at dusk we like them in Australia for erradicating pests at night under spotlight.

Meopta have really nice glass and are good value. If you want something great in low light with bit more flexibility try an meopta meostar 3-12x56

Lyman made a very nice fixed 8X back in the day. . . . don't pass a used one up if it comes around

I still use my Kahles 8 x 56 with 7A reticle that I bought new for $389.00 in 1989. I was told I was crazy for spending that much on a scope. I’ve never regretted it.
It has been a good scope but it’s lost a little brightness over the years.

I have a 6x42 Kahles as well. Great scope that I bought back in the mid 90s. It has a steel tube to boot, and the adjustments are in metric deviations.

The lightweigt Leupold M8 8X36 is a very nice and trim scope, great for a sporter. Discontinued of course, and gloss.

I recently found a pair and albeit a bit expensive I was very happy to get them...Tom
