That sounds awfully close to a recipe for Dubbin/Dubbing. It was used by the military around WW2 as a preservative/waterproofing on combat boots and other leather goods. And has been around for a much longer timeOk my turn.. one pound bees wax, two pounds beef tallow, 3-6 ounces of oil. I use Jojoba as it is the closest a person can get to Sperm oil which was originally used. Melt the wax in a crock pot which you can get at a thrift shop for under $10.. Mine was $5... Add the tallow and oil stir and our into a mould.. "Mould", meaning tupperware container.. or something.. More oil to the mix in winter less in summer...
