First stage went away RR two stage trigger

I moved a Rock River two stage trigger that was tuned by White Oak to another lower and no longer have a first stage.
It must be from a very slight difference in the pin location. Just not enough sear engagement. Thinking about grinding off some material from the bottom of the trigger where it rests on the lower. There is a trick of putting a set screw through where the grip threads in to lessen the sear so grinding that area off the trigger should increase it right?
Thanks / Chet

Make sure you put the springs in there properly and there’s no trash in the mechanism holding the disconnect back
I’ve fixed many of these at matches that were the above problems
