Gabe22br where abouts are you.I have the same problem with the deer!!I grow 2 big gardens and a smaller one.I can and put back a lot of food every year.I do understand what the critters can do to you when you depend on the food to get through the winter.

NO. I wish !!!

Hunter243, call the local wildlife office, they will issue/ help most of the time. I'm in NW TN.

I did ask about rabbits, kill 1 one night, another takes it place the next night.

Supposed to be patient until after Memorial Day for the 'hogs...... Yeah, it's hard....... And the softball-sized pups are really tempting targets......

When will the pups go out on their own?I think it is a pair I was seeing last year.If I am right I will wait till they do and then I will have several to shoot.

I think it is about 2 months after they hatch, that they dig their new digs.

WooHoo! Just read where US farmers are going to plant more soybeans, thanks to $4/bu. corn prices (beans dropped too, but usually cost less to grow and are better for the soil). More beanfields = more groundhogs; never shot many out of corn or wheat fields....

When I used to hunt them up in New York, alfalfa fields were KING! After that, hay fields. But they were BIG AND FAT in those alfalfa fields!

We now have soybean fields here in NY also...but I have never seen a chuck in one. Alfalfa and pastures on the other hand......yup!!!

Saw one about 5 days ago going up interstate 81. Won't be long now.
What was he driving?

If he was a NY woodchuck it was a 1991 Pontiac grand am with the optional fender flares (rust), three tires and a donut, with a NASCAR sticker, loose muffler and no door knobs. One window was likely plastic (door froze shut, had to get in) and the gal in the passenger seat had a mustache and long stringy blond/black hair...

Ask me how I KNOW that is what this woodchuck was driving!
