I am not a fan of polishing chambers.
I have always found that the finish that is left by the reamer gives a good compromise between the case being able to grip the chamber walls during peak pressure and combining with ease of extraction.
This can become apparent when shooting in the higher load limit such as is encountered in Short Range Benchrest. Many shooters cannot explain why their bolt lift is difficult at 3450 when other have no problems. Much of it can be traced back to the Gunsmith putting way to shiny of a finish in that chamber, often to correct for a poor finish during reaming.
Of course, all of this takes extra care during the reaming procedure.
