Prairie Poodles Update
Hunted in Lamar, Colorado, this year. Four of us had plenty of land to drive around and find the towns.
It seemed like where ever we looked, there was a million mounds of dirt.
We started blasting on firday morning and shot, all day, for three days.
It was trully one of the better hunts I have been on in many years.
If I was to be extreemly conservative with my numbers of actual kills, (not, "almosts" or jumpers), I would put the number in the 250-300 range.
The wind was a bit crazy at times, but it mabe for great practice in hold-overs and reading.
I've got to give it to Black Hills Ammo again, it came through flawlessly!
Oh, and before I forget, the pups had an incredible hatch this year. The little rats were running everywhere.
