First hawk hill barrel.

Just chambered my first hawk hill in 6x47L.
#3 fluted finished at 22 inches. 8tw
.274 Nd
.105 fb.

105vld and 38.5gr of h4350 shot great. Wish I could post pictures from my phone.

Anyone else use there barrels? It showed up in 3 weeks and was a joy to work on and shot great. Might be time to order up some more?

Yes, I was very happy with my Hawk Hill Barrel (7mm 29" 1.25" straight). One of the straightest barrels I ever indicated in. It shoots great, if I do my part. It was done when promised. I would buy another without hesitation.

There was a 2page review on them in precision rifleman magazine a couple months ago. The author chambered one in 30br to use in competition. From what I remember of the article he was well pleased with the barrel and service

I had an 18 twist .30 cal chambered for the .30 BR and I am well pleased with the results that I got. I have had only one chance to shoot it in competition, but I plan to use it more next year. It is very accurate and cleans well with very little fouling. I can recommend them without reservation. Good shooting....James Mock

I believe it is your article I was thinking of. Nicely done

A friend, who has built some very accurate rifles, ordered one and has found it to be very well made, and very accurate. IMO they know what they are doing.

shawn made a 6 br barrel for me and i have fired it against my other barrels and i am impressed with the accuracy and ease of cleaning. i am going to have two more made. took three weeks to arrive and i had it installed on my action by the following Saturday, maching was smooth as was chambering no hard spots.i have several other major riflers barrels so the comparison was against the best and out to the 600 yards i have at the range they are great barrels.

MY Hawk Hill barrel has been my best barrel to date, I would not hesitate to order another one from Shawn.. I have nothing but good things to say about their customer service as well.. I know this is an old post, but I figured I would follow up..

Bernie knows what he's doing, thats for sure. I think I'll treat myself to a custom barrel action from them for my birthday.

Or maybe it's people like me ordering a bunch of inventory for replacing barrels this winter. Tim, gimme a call if you want something.
