I got my first double of the year last night.
I parked the trooper near two fields I was going to hunt. Went to take a quick look in the one near the river with my thermal binoculars and spotted the bigger male at 168 yds. I left my tripod back at the truck, so I went prone no bipod. He stopped when a sqeeker in my pocket squeezed on accident.
I hit him solid and he did the death spin Then ran towards the river brush. Then I saw the female behind him at 256 yds. I got the Trijicon Reap on her held top of back and spun her also.
It was a good night and I’m still impressed how well the little 10” AR pistol shoots.
50 grain Vmaxs done the job.
