First Chambering Complete

And couldn`t be happier. All the rest of the stuff I needed was on my porch and in the mailbox. I couldn`t believe I finally had all of it at home. The extra goods allowed me to double check my indexing and made some fine adjustments, and was blown away at the accuracy, and the ease using the outboard spider I made! I used a gauge I bought on ebay an alina .0001" indicator, and played with the chuck and spider till she went to sleep. The .237" bushing was a great fit in the bore, all I want to add is the Lambeth reamer stop.

I want to thank all for the help, Mr Jerry Sharrett gets a nice plug, as my awesome smith Stephen Hall was kind enough to answer a question last night while I was in the middle of chambering.

If anyone can suggest how and what they use to lightly polish the chamber

Well done Tim, I haven't done my first one yet, I will know who to call when I do, I have to finish leveling up my lathe and mill first, and run the power

For polishing the chamber to a 320 grit, I just slit a dowel rod with a slight taper at the end to match the shoulder , and wrap enough wet or dry around it to fit the chamber, and add a bit of Vipers Venom and polish away...

I just use a piece of extra fine scotchbrite about 3'' square rolled up, soaked in 3 in 1 oil.
Turn the lathe on about 400 rpm and have at it.
