I got to go to my local field for a few minutes yesterday afternoon for the first time this year. I had just got there and was talking to the farmer on the phone and he was advising me where he had seen a ground hog the past few days. As we were talking that little fur ball stood up in the field. I climbed out got my gun and bag on the cab of the truck and sure enough he disappeared. I got down and herded cattle out of the way just to be safe. I proceeded back to my perch and she came out again. I ranged and took no time and clicked up and the first time she stood up I let her fly!!! The 6BR using 87gr V-MAX and 31.0 gr of Varget dropped her instantly. Longest kill to date = 360 yards. Besting my previous best of 330.
