Firing Pin

My firing pin keeps developing a burr at the location circled. Leading edge of pin. Rides over the trigger bar release
I ordered a new firing pin and it does the same. CZ 457


Im suspecting inferior metal ? but Im no expert. Any help to solve is appreciated.

Yes
Not sure why I had such bad experience and others have no issue, but
I dont have anything good to say about their warranty service. The 'chrome' finish is chipping off the extractors, spring, firing pin and they told me 'it wont hurt anything' and sent it back. Oh the extractor was chipped too and I was informed they had none to replace it with.

Theres nothing they wanted to fix as long as it shoots under 1 moa.

I'm fixing it myself at this point. Any ideas how to stop the burr from forming?

That kinda makes sense, but Its creating the burr. It wasn't there originally.
I hit it with a fine stone to remove, but it keeps re-occurring.

It could be my imagination, but when the burr is there the trigger release seem to increase. This is how I noticed the burr.

It is now at 2.6 oz. I will check this weight before I go to the range and then again when I return and see what I get.

I was thinking for it to cause a burr, the metal is too soft or maybe the edge needs 'rolled' over slightly.

I would try breaking the edge, so you don't have a sharp edge if you have not already. If the two metals are equal in hardness and you have a burr or it's sharp , you will get a burr. Both surfaces could be flat at rest but when cocking, it could be tipping slightly, creating a sharp edge.

I'll give that a try and check trigger weight again before I head out to the range tomorrow. Thanks for the info

It was windy and in the 50's this morning so I only shot about 30 rounds, but that seemed to have fixed it for now.
