Firing Pin Hole Rough Edge

I recall the issues you had therefor have been careful with hot loads…. Thats why im curious about the holes beginning to lose the sharp edge. Jim will tell me I’m shooting it too hot. I’m taking them to the nationals then TN State Championship… hoping that are ok for now. This morning I rechecked headspace on 5 barrels and each are very close to the same, I looked back at speeds to my beginning 11 months ago and my first barrels I was running / targeting 2920… now just under 2900.. anyway Im hoping they will hold up. Too late now to do much
That’s where everyone runs them… yours aren’t that bad you’ll be fine for a while. Just keep the inside of your firing pin hole clean if you start getting brass shavings from the primers in there. My headspace only changed by 0.0004” after getting them bushed by LRI. Less than half a thou

You couldn't see this w/o magnification but a pin gauge found it right away.

These are Borden BRMXD. CCI - 200 Primer, never noticed any losse pockets and I bump shoulder to 2-3 thou and check nearly every one as I size. This is why I am confused as both bolts have that little half moon rough edge.. albeit magnified and hard to see with the naked eye. I’ve read about gas cutting therefor posted this to determine from you experts if I’ve got a problem. I am going to seat some primers in my 8x fired brass that I retired ( for no good reason really) and compare the presuure to my 2 x fired brass. I just hope I’m not seeing something that will get worse….
Right Savage Azis 223 normal.
Left Remington 600 in 243. Blow out from defective primers.

Both shoot ok.

Even my M16 kept running with this bolt face.

The round count has a lot to do with it. More rounds fired, more noticeable.
I worry about other things.
Even the Army would have condemned and replaced that M16 bolt.
