Fireforming 6mm PPC brass

I checked the FAQ's for previous postings but my questions weren't completely answered.

First I have a PPC with a .262 neck and I just received my 100 Lapua .20 Russian cases. I want to use the powder and bullet method to fire form my cases while using the rounds to shoot gophers.

I have a Sinclair expander die with the 6mm mandrel. First I intend to run all the cases thru the expander die enlarge the case mouth to .243.

This is where I get a little confused. The neck dimension on my PPC is .262 so it appears that I will have to neck trim the .220 Russian cases before loading and fire forming other wise my loaded rounds will not chamber in my rifle.

When I bought the PPC,used) a month ago it included 39 rounds of fire formed .220 Russian brass. The neck wall thickness of the brass is .0085. My purchase also included Wilson dies. The neck sizing die uses a .259 bushing. After loading a 70 grain Sierra I get a neck measurement of .2615 which allows me to chamber the round in my rifle with it's .262 neck.

If I have to outside neck trim my new Lapua brass after I run it thru the expander die do I take the bull by the horns so to spaeak and trim away until I get the .0085 wall thickness? This might be a stupid question but I would appreciate any advice on the subject...dos and don'ts.

Thanks

My thanks to Bob Blaine at Sinclair International who replied to my posting and sent me Sinclair's pdf file on making PPC brass from 220 Russian. Thanks Bob it was much appreciated.
