Fire Cracking

My .22-250 has some fairly obvious fire cracking. It still shoots very well, but I was wondering if the erosion could be slowed a bit by using something like the Tubb's system. I realize I am looking at a new barrel at some point, but I would like to stall that for a while. Some have indicated that the Tubb's system will lengthen throats, but that is of no real concern since this is a single shot with a fairly short throat and I would like to seat bullets a bit longer anyway.

While I agree with Dave T I will go one step further. You have indicated no loss of accuracy. I have had some pretty ugly first several inches that remained competitive and capable of winning. Don't fix what isn't broken. If it still shoots correct wind calls are much more important than a pretty borescope picture.
