Fiocchi GFL .223 Brass

I was gifted 600 rounds of same lot, once fired bolt gun, .223 Rem. Fiocchi Brass, headstamp says GFL. Has anyone used it or have any opinions on it? Thanks all, Brian.

Watch for offset flash holes.

If the flash holes aren’t to bad it loads up nice. No crimp to remove is nice.

I've reloaded a lot of it left as range brass. I've had no problems with it.

Great. I have a bunch in the vibratory, I'll resize some, and measure them up. Should be able to put a good lot together with the amount I have. Brian.

If the flash holes are off center a smidge they will still work fine. I thought I would mention that so that you wouldn’t cull to deep.

As posted, the flash holes are all over the place. I'd still take all I could get when it's free.

I have a batch of it from a few years back. I have some attrition due to split necks, but if you filter those out the brass does okay.
The neck splits were easy to detect when processing so culling them wasn't difficult.

I had older stuff with the offset flash holes. I have newer stuff that isn't like that. Its ok, but for whatever reason my ES went way down when I switched to starline.

The offset holes deal is from the distant past as far as I can tell--In the last 3 years I have used a Lot of the GFL 223 brass--I love it! It has the volume unlike the much smaller Starline and that matters --I have loaded over 6 times and never lost a case--has been perfect for high volume PD loads. Use the stuff you will like it
I really love the PMC 223 brass ( without the staked primers) try it for any precision 223 load--it also has great internal volume
Friends and I have used over 6 cases of the Fiocchi 223 Vmax loads in the last 3-4 years and have never seen an offset flash hole--no doubt they made some but it was long ago

They worked well for rats, no problems and have used them a bunch
