Finding 6 ppc brass

Looking at a sako single shot 6ppc used I believe from the 80’s?
The Norma 6PPC brass is a great fit in the Sako factory chambers. The necks measure right at .266 with a seated bullet. The Sako factory chambers are right around .272.

This also applies to the factory Sako 22PPC rifles as well...Norma 22PPC cases are perfect.

Put a WTB thread out here, I’m sure someone has some Norma, Sako or 220 Russian that would pop up. There’s a lot of 6PPC chambers out there, helps to know a lit about what your chamber is to get the right dies and brass, my 6PPC and 22PPC are Sako factory rifles, therefore I have Sako brass for both, Redding 6PPc sako dies… you get the idea. You want the right dies and brass for the best results, just a thought.
It comes with a set of Redding match dies I believe? So I’m hoping they will be good…

You will be fine with the Norma brass. You will not be able to run 29.8+ grs. of N133 in that gun. I have one. Take my word for it. For that chamber and the load you will be running, the Norma brass will last a long time and is as accurate as Lapua. I shot a lots of the Norma brass and still have some that I use in my A1.

I also have and use the same dies. They work well. Here is the link where I posted about my A1. https://forum.accurateshooter.com/threads/wow-sako-a1-nice-start.4064550/

I have 800 or more lapua 220 Russian that has already been formed and neck turned. I know nothing about the specs on it as I had to buy it to get more stuff I needed. I’d make someone a deal on it.

Out of the box Russian 220, sized up for 6mm it'll measure 271. So for a 262 chamber neck it'll have to be turned.
I just did some.

I used norma just fine last year. The pockets loosened up faster than the Russian but it actually shot better. I still have it. I may have to use it again !

I think it was norma made some 6ppc brass for a different company.

Different head stamp. I have some at home, but can't remember the name right now.
