If one purchased a rifle in 6 ppc how hard is it to find brass? Or as I understand it many fire form 220 Russian brass? I’ve looked around and can’t seem to find any available

220 Russian brass is hard to come by right now but I expect it will be available again. Just hard to say when these days. Best advice is to get on waiting list with some of these retailers.
Is it worth buying or passing and going after a more available cartridge ?

Bruno's Shooting Supply has Norma 6MM PPC in stock today, 9/10/2023. They get $144.95 for 100~!

Last update for Lapua 220 Russian was July 2024:

Bill, last news I heard it would be next year till we see the Lapua 220 Russian again

Put a WTB thread out here, I’m sure someone has some Norma, Sako or 220 Russian that would pop up. There’s a lot of 6PPC chambers out there, helps to know a lit about what your chamber is to get the right dies and brass, my 6PPC and 22PPC are Sako factory rifles, therefore I have Sako brass for both, Redding 6PPc sako dies… you get the idea. You want the right dies and brass for the best results, just a thought.

I just bought 100 of the Norma 22PPC brass. Just neck up then neck turn. Most of the case is formed already so fireforming is a snap. I've used the Norma brass quite a bit and not had any problems with it. As long as you stay in 29.8 to 30.3 of N133, it works fine. It won't last as long as lapua, but you can't get that now anyway.
