I have always wanted to set up my 18lb LR rifle to shoot (at) coyotes at 1k in Az mountains, but no caller made had range.
I found a radio guru who took my X24 and supercharged it with now a range of an easy 1k plus with the rubber ducky 3db antennas shown in pic. The amp is inside the speaker box ( in blue case he made) which increases reception from -.012db to 3db. Thats like going from biplane to jet. I also have a small transmitter amp I can attach to handset that will expand range to over a mile.
Should be fun!
