Finally moving along on latest project

Finally got the email from Zermatt this morning! This build has been a long time coming—I actually ordered the action back in August 2025. It’s been a bit of a waiting game across the board; Baron Osterman is starting the stock soon (he had a family emergency that pushed things back), and I’ve sourced the barrel, reamer and trigger from Bruno’s.
I originally spec'd this out for my daughter. She's a busy Pharmacy student in Idaho, and as much as my friends told me to just buy her a reloading setup so she could reload for her 7-6.5 prcw, she just doesn't have the hours in the day. I went with a 6.5 CM build so she could run factory Hornady ammo and keep things simple.
Life happened, and she’s headed to Coeur d’Alene for clinicals now, so her match schedule is on hold. But the silver lining? My wife is starting to show interest in shooting, so this setup is going to be her introduction to the sport. I’m just happy to see the parts finally moving!

Yeah if I knew what the NRA/CMP was going to do what they did with the rules. I would’ve bought a savage model 12 LRP in 6.5 cm. But stock was paid for, deposit on action paid, barrel was bought so no going back.
