Finally Got Me a Lathe

I have been looking for a lathe for awhile now and the stars finally aligned. I bought it dirt cheap, within 30 miles and it came with a few extras. Its covered in grime, but it looks like it wasn't run much at all. Underneath all of the dirt it is in immaculate condition. Just the Bison chucks it came with were worth more than the asking price.

I know is not US metal, but from what I understand and have read the 1980-90 era Taiwanese imports were not half bad.

It'll be great to wet my feet on. Now I won't have to go over to my buddies how to do all of my builds.

Good deal! You'll get a lot of satisfaction out of doing your own work. Clean it up but don't paint it. Lathes need to look used. ;D

You will never regret that purchase. Me and a buddy bought an old Atlas and learned a ton on it. We sold it and got a Grizzly G4003G so we could do our own barrel work. Have a ball with it!!

Great find!

I think if I ever got one of these I would be out in the garage all day and my Wife would start calling the thing my mistress. ;D
