Finally found what I was looking for!

Been searching for some boxes of 105 A-max's I picked up a while back for at least 6 months. Looked everywhere, finally remembered where I got them from and it was around deer hunting. Looked in my tote with most of my deer gear and there they were. 3 boxes of unobtanium.

Back to 400 and some change. I have one hunting rifle that loves those things and should get me about to half barrel life with what I have now.

I'm happy, Was a good day.
 
I think I was hiding "something you don't need right now" from my wife at the time.

Before I bought a good gun safe, every time we would leave on vacation I use to go to great lengths to hide my rifles all over the basement. I hid one so good one time, it took me a couple weeks to remember where it was at. My thinking was that if someone did break in, they might find a couple, but not all of them! Left a couple beaters in the rack in my shop for decoys.

Lol, I misplaced a 1911 9mm for a yr and a half. It was in a pistol sleeve that used to come with Midway range bags, which I never used for the most part.
 
reminds me of a story...years back when my daughter was about 8 i finally found something I had misplaced. When I told her it was in the last place I looked, she said in all sincerity, "of course, daddy, why would you keep looking once you found it?" The innocence of the young.

Haha, when I used to get asked where I lost my stuff at, it was hard not to say, "I'm 8, and I'm smarter than that.

I generally have done that sort of thing with the intent of hiding things in plain sight. This was before getting a safe, now ghere are too many guns to fit in safe, but thats a different story. Long ago when daughter was a young teenager we had returned home from vacation in early August and in the end of October(before opening of bird season). She came down to breakfast complaing that she couldnt sleep because she was so uncomfortable. The lightbulb went off and I went and rerieved the little Ithaca 20 ga double that had been under her mattress since July. Glad she had reminded me where I'd hidden it. We also assured her that she need not audition for a gig calling for a princess.

That usually works, but not this time. The new tubing came two days ago and I still can’t find the tubing I had!:mad:
