** FINAL UPDATE ON GETTING THE 6PPC UP AND RUNNING

I decided to fight the heat at around 07:00 P M yesterday and try to get started with some load development going with Bart's Avengers and VV-N133. Took my time and monitored barrel heat @ 90 degrees for the 21 shots. [3-shots X 7 charges.]

68 GR. BARTS AVENGER HPBT HBN**C 1.621 O M 2.149 COL T/L B S .265 B C .255
POWDER VV-N133 [28.2] 28.4 28.6 28.8 29.0 [29.2] 29.4 GR. PRIMER BR-4 .262 BU.
SEATED @1.631 O M 2.159 COL .010 JAM 07/18/23

I was feeling a little tight bolt lift at 29.4 gr. but primers and brass looked fine

These two groups below were the tightest

28.2 GR. .126 3-SHOT GP. 87 DEG. 75% REL/HUM 07/18/23
29.2 GR. .158 3-SHOT GP. 87 DEG. 75% REL/HUM 07/18/23

The AGG. for all seven groups was .229

Waiting to get a bullet seating check to chrono and add E C V2 Tuner

Planning to re-test these loads with 5-shot groups and check neck tension next
Keep posting the results Bill. I'll use them for reference on my un-fired PPC when I list it again. Same reamer, barrels, and Gunsmith.

Good shooting!

Sounds like Zack made you a boring rifle, shoots through the same hole, that’s no fun

The rifle is beautiful and Brett‘s work is outstanding, as always.

Enjoy!
Yea, this one is no exception when it comes to shooting good and now thanks to Brett I can look good doing it as Speedy says.

It could have been out of the group cause Zack planned on you using Barts Bullets in stead of some off the shelf factory made bullets, aren't you worried about other shooters beating you up for not shooting Barts Bullets?

Actually I only blew my brass out with the factory bullets. Everything including yesterday and going forward will be Bart's Avengers or Ultras.

That reamer was designed specifically for the Avengers. I know, I solicited the information from the right source. Zack filled in the rest. So I am definitely interested to see how they perform when compared to other bullets.

How long a free-bore are you using with the 68gr Avenger BT's?

I'm not going to share specs on the forum. It took time, effort, and a few conversations with the right people to develop. And that is not including the effort of the Smith involved. I certainly am not giving out information he hasn't made available.....unless someone is having a chamber done.

I know at times in the past he will request that we not share certain info here.

. If you watch this you will understand my post about off the shelf bullets and getting beat up by other shooters. I am sorry I had to bring this up but I just get tickled every time i watch it.
Oh O K I get it now. LOL.

Well, finally got to check my seating depth for it today. Started at .002 jam and went up to .020 jam @ .002 per jump with the test to find .004 & .006 jam were my best groups measuring .096 each. Neck tension is next and finally I will install my E C V2 tuner. Zack had previously told me it would probably shoot best @ .004 to .008 jam. His crystal ball was on the money yet again.
