Fiberglass bench stock...

Does anyone make an affordable (less than 500) swirl fiberglass stock for a Tikka action?

I have looked and most seem to be Remington based.

Thanks.

That is what I didn't want to do :) Thank you though, it looks like if I am hell bent on this Tikka action getting custom inletting is about the only option, it appears.

Last year I could not find an inletted BR stock for my T3 Super Varmint so I bought one inletted for a Remington footprint. It took a bit of work but I pillar bedded the Tikka in that stock. My Tikka is a repeater so the bedding goes an inch under the barrel beyond the action. There is no magazine well so it feeds single shot now.

had a tikka left hand stock made by lone wolf..pillar and glass bedded..very pleased.. .problem with tikka is the lack of off the shelf after market parts..

Judd,

I had the same thing happen with my Winchester action, looking to end. Call Tom Meredith, he had a few extra Remington inlet McMillan stocks with one of color scheme being reversed. There was plenty of bedding to work with.

I bought a McMillan Heavy Varmint Edge from Dan Killough at Killough Shooting Sports for $350 and then had a local smith inlet it for my action. I had other work done at the time but I think the inletting and bedding cost me $150.

Okay...thanks for the information guys. Buy a blank or Remington inlet and modify. Y'all are right, shame there isn't more Tikka options. I really like the platform. I guess I need to rethink what I am doing. Again thanks.

Judd,

Not relevant to your op but interesting maybe

Cool looking stock. My first impressions are way to expensive and I hate the stock hook on the underside if the stock. I have a savage sitting in a manners stock with the hook on the underside. I hate it because it never wants to ride correctly in the bags.

Thanks for the link though...
