FFL DEALERS and Fed X users

Yesterday, I received a rifle through FEDX, and was told
by the driver he would need to scan my Drivers Lic, to
prove I'm 21. I said, I'm 75 and surely you dont doubt that.
This is not a one time deal, it's every delivery.
He said this was managements decision, not his. I told him
I could help him by notifying all my vendors not to ship me
anything by FEDX. Point being, a person has to be at least
21 to own a FFL, and If I didn't have the lic he wouldn't be
making the delivery to my address. I am asking all Lic holders
to follow my lead and stop this intrusion. Thanks LDS

There's a lot of POLITICAL crap going on right now as a pushback by the anti's
about the recent SC decisions. Some Big anti senators are throwing around threats
to shippers and anyone else they can intimidate.
I think it will get straightened out shortly because of the rulings and clarifications
by the SC to some states already... Let's hope so

I've had two instances where, if the FedEx driver would have asked for ID, the idiots wouldn't have delivered two different firearms to the wrong address. While I'm not too keen on them scanning my DL, I would gladly let them verify that they were delivering to the correct address.

My powder and primer order went exactly like that.
Signed his pad with finger, worst ever.
First initial and last name (was on the package), Asked for DOB, month and year.
Kept my ID in my pocket.

Local groceries now enter DOB for beer. Guess they don't trust the cashiers.

YIKES ! I'm receiving a new GRS Stock Blank tomorrow , via FedX , and have no issue with what they are doing . Other than it's a PITA . Had to "sign" for a primer delivery a few weeks ago , and the driver was very good about the whole thing . Management decision he said , and didn't make me go get my DL . That's not my problem with this whole mess .

I now have to dis-assemble my Kelby F-TR .308 and ship the new Blank , and action to Alex at MasterCraft to have the stock in-letted , Pillars , and Bedding done . And ; hopefully , get it back in time for some practice before the FCNC in October .

The real problem now is : Who can I ship with to feel safe about my very expensive up-grade project , and be able to sleep for the next month or so ?......HELP !

i dont wanna scan my DL either but to me its good they are verifying the correct person is getting the package. LGS told me fedex has stacked piles of gun shipments outside their building when they are closed and not there.
that aint good. they have to CYA on the 21 thing. if i was 18 and ordered a trigger from you i dont think they would require the signature

Probably each state may be different.
It took the VA over 10 years to comply with an order NOT to have SS numbers on their ID card and their prescriptions. They now have it the SKU ( if that’s the correct name for a bar code).
I recently found out anyone who has a cell phone can ‘shoot’ the sku and get the number.
ie your SS number.
Apparently a fairly common practice by scammers outside the Bronx VA

You should know if your shipment REQUIRES adult verification or not when you place the order.
I'm over 70 and have to show ID when I buy booze in my state.
Not trusting FedEX (Ground) to always accurately deliver my package I want them to be able to PROVE they delivered to ME. My name is on the package already. Unless the driver can GUESS my birthdate he got it from ME.
I for one am GLAD adult deliveries are getting a little more secure.
No DL scans yet.

It sounds like you mean the VA ... as in Veterans Affairs and not Virginia?
