Feeding trouble

My smith called me and said that he was having trouble with my project.It is a surgeon rsr action in an hs precision stock that uses no botom metal ,oh by the way it is in 223 ai Any ideas . thanks

I hope he milled it to make the mag fit tight.Can you chamber with a sled in it? Sometimes it is all in the follower.What kind is in it?

I have a 223AI built on a Rem 700 and I've tried a couple different followers boxs and so on to make it a repeater. Only thing I thing might work is midway sells a follower to convert the staggered feed into a center feed. With the AI I think you almost need that due to the shoulders to make it a repeater.
