Federal GM215M primers

flexible

Hi everyone, flexible here.
I'm sure this questions has been asked a LOT but are there any Federal GM215M primers out there?
I'm helping a friend start reloading and he has a 6.5 PRC while I'm having a 7mm PRC built.
I'm on multiple wait lists but am thinking of biting the bullet and paying a ridiculous price at Gunborker.
thanks

No experience with the 7 PRC, but I've built two 6.5 PRC's and two 6 PRC's, and regular 210's are all that's needed.

At the beginning of Covid, spring 2020, I purchased several bricks at various Sportsman's Warehouse in the PNW for $28.50 a brick. CCI BR-2s were $41.50!

I was on "A mission from God!".
That’s about when I was about to get into reloading. A friend advised me to buy as much as I could since they were always the first to go and last to come back.
Remington primers we’re 20 a thousand but I bought couple bricks of fed gold medal match primers and wish I would have bought more

The 215m in a 6.5 prc leads to a higher sd and less accuracy for about a 25fps gain. The 7mm prc may need them.

Academy in Houston/Pearland TX has plenty of Federal GMM primers even the 215’s for $100/1000.

Thank you Vista/ Federal for supporting the big box stores and letting other stores suck hind tit.

May be of little help, but...I began using 215 Magnum Match when I got a 7x61 rifle ten or so years ago. I eventually bought a carton of 5,000. Got some more magnum rifles and used the 215s in all of them. As an experiment, in a .300 H&H load for a Winchester rifle, I switched to CCI-250 magnum primers changing nothing but the primer. My load probably was less than maximum so this primer change appeared to be safe.

I'd have to check notes for any details, but velocity, accuracy, and point of impact were unchanged by the primer switch. In this case (maybe or maybe not in others), I'd call the two primers interchangeable. It might be worth trying if CCI-250s are available - something I haven't checked on.

I hear you brother, have been looking for some for my 338LM but none in sight.I have about 600 left and a couple thousand GM210M so may have to try them when the 215M's run out.I watched a primer video by Mark(Mark and Sam After Work)and he says he uses 210's in everything up to and including his 375 Gibbs with no issues(actually prefers them)as long as the temp. doesn't get too low(like below freezing,etc.).
