Federal brass

I'm having some trouble with some Federal Gold Medal .223 brass. I'm getting major leakage around the primer pockets on a few cases. These cases originally had crimped primers, and I removed the crimp with a Lyman reamer. On the first firing, about 20% are showing leakage around the primer. Other brands of cases aren't doing this, despite being processed with the same tools. My regular Federal brass has been problem free. Any suggestions?

Been there with Federal GM .223 brass
Bolt gun or gas gun

After the second fireing throw the Fed GM brass away.

Or more problems will arise

I just tossed all my Federal GM brass. The leaks around the primers flame cut my ARs bolt face. It has some serious pits in it now. That's $50.00 that could have been better spent elsewhere. Now I get to buy a new bolt. No wonder Federal crimps the primers in, it's probably the only way to keep the darn things in place.
