I read the article when it came out and made some phone calls where I talked with the head honcho. If you get a chance try and shoot a good range of ammo so you/we can see how it shoots . Where did you get it and can you give me a price range of what they're selling for .

Well I received my Leupold VariX III 6.5-20 from their repair dept. They were very fast and made it like new with new target knobs. It works perfect. I shot the 10/22 yesterday with the stock bolt (Que is working on mine, will be back this week). I shot four five shot groups at fifty yards after sight in and a few rounds to condition the barrel to the CCI SV ammo. #1-.552 with 4 in .320, #2- .485 with 4 in .220, #3- .460 with 4 ii .236, #4 .680 with 4 in .270. I do not what caused the "flyer" in each group, my very rusty bench technique (been laid off shooting for 10 years), the stock bolt, or the ammo. I will find out soon as the Que reworked bolt is reinstalled and I shoot some better ammo. I have a good variety of ammo, some 10 years old and some purchased recently. As close as this barrel shoots I am looking for some good groups if I can do my part and get some wind flags.

I t was the ammo. I shot six five shot groups with Wolf Match Extra and averaged .298, one was .187. The SK Rifle did not do as well, six groups averaged .349. I think this is a keeper.
