Fed 210M replacement

Going to load some Sierra 140g Pro Hunters for my Savage 16 in 7mm08 for deer hunting. The Sierra load data shows Fed 210M but I cannot seem to locate any. I am finding CCI 200 & Win WLR locally in stock. What would you choose as the replacement or will it really matter in a hunting load?

I will be using IMR-4350 powder.

Shoot both see which one gives better e.s.'s and possibly tighter groups and go with it..

You don't need match primers for hunting, just use Fed 210!

Brown -

FED GM215M has worked better for me, especially for powders in the IMR4350 - WW760/H414 range ( in a large capacity .224" cal wildcat ).
It's their " Large Magnum Rifle Match Primer ".

Worth a try.

Agree with Joe Salt, you don't need match primers for deer hunting. In fact I've never detected any difference in Federal 210M and 210.

I would opt for the CCI primers. I've seen reports of faulty Winchester primers but I don't have any details. I doubt if the deer will ever know the difference between CCI and Federal 210M's.

I also Like Remingtion primers when available.

Fed 210 and 210M are the same primer. The Match is supposed to be made by the more experienced workers. It is said to be more consistent. I have never seen a difference in 1000 yard BR. They both shoot the same to me. Matt

In days of old that extra touch by experienced workers, etc might have made a large difference. Today's manufacturing processes are so automated all the "more experienced workers" do is sit and watch. Well, maybe they also add raw materials to the hoppers and move the boxes that are filled with finished product.

FWIW, I found that Wolf and Tula LRP's matched Fed 210 performance in my rifle, charge weight for charge weight. Did find that SD/ES was actually lower across the board with the "Russians".

Winchester primers are formulated for Ball Powders.
