Sloughhouse BR Shooters held our 1st Chabot Special at the Sac Valley SC, and the 12 shooters who showed up were greeted by chilly temps and unusually mild condition for the Ione Triangle. This is our most popular match format and attracts shooters from multiple venues. We shoot 4 3-bull targets for both group & score. X's are 11 so 165 possible per Agg and the groups are actual measurement not broken back to MOA.
Target 1:
Score had George Palms steering his PPC into a nice 155, just beating out Jeff Rodriguez (30 BR) who was 2nd at 154, Steve Raeder (also with a 30BR) right behind at 153 for 3rd.
Group had me pulling off a sweet .345 Agg with my vintage Teddy in 30 BR (at 3450 rds LOL) including one of only two groups in the .2's, Jeff 2nd with a nice .513, and Roy Luchini with his new (to him) 30 BR pulling down 3rd at .584.
Target 2:
Score was taken by Steve Raeder with a 155, beating my 155 on the tiebreaker (Group Agg), Roy & Shawn Davison both had 154's, Roy taking 3rd on the tiebreaker.
Group was also taken by Steve with a nice .474, Bill Costanza 2nd with a great .496 including the only other group in the 2's a .267 which was small group of the match. George finished 3rd with a .555.
Target 3: Conditions started picking up a bit, but still relatively mild.
Score had Steve continue his dominance with a 154, George right behind at 153, and Shawn 3rd at 150. These were the only 150's of the agg as it was continuing to pick up.
Group had me getting back to form with the only .5 agg a nice .561, Steve 2nd with a .627, George finished 3rd with the only other .6 at .688.
Target 4: Now it's getting frisky! Usual L-R out of the WSW with enough letup/reverses to cause some bad words on the line!
Score was Steve 1st again at 152, with Jeff, Roy, and Bill all shooting 151's, Jeff taking 2nd & Roy 3rd on the tiebreak.
Group had me taking 1st again with a nice for condition .647 Agg, just beating out Steve who had the only other sub .8 agg at .685, Jeff 3rd with a .845
Overall 4-Card Aggregate aka "The Money Match"
