Favourite F class contours

I'm thinking about setting up a .284 barrel for F-open. It will be installed onto one of the early PGW coyote Actions, which is plenty rigid to support whatever I hang on it. How do most folks decide which barrel contour to put on an Open gun? Is it as simple of weighing all the other components, and then figuring out how much weight allowance is left?

What stock are you planning on using? How heavy do you want your gun?

My 284 I have a 1.250" straight cylinder 31", I have GBF composite stock with a long forend with a low profile, which I suppose helps with the weight distribution and balance. My rifle weighs 20.5 LBS with a S-III 8-32 ( same weight as a 28" 6mm barrel). The F/O weight limit is approx 22 lbs, so I could go with an even longer barrel. That thick of barrel is not necessary, but I figure the extra weight from the barrel could help with recoil reduction and heat.

Another option is to find a popular contour to have your stock inletted for. This helps in the future for finding premade barrel blanks. Which is nice when you don't have to wait for a barrel from the manufacturer.

Thanks gents. To be truthful, I'm trying to make a single rifle do double duty. The rifle is primarily shot in F/TR. With a 32" med. palma barrel, sinclair fpod, and 12-42 NF BR, it comes in right at 18lbs. The stock is currently an A5, but it's time to chance that to something less flexible. The problem is I don't have much weight allowance left for the stock upgrade for the F/Tr class, but a flexible forend sure isn't going to help me w/ a heavier barrel shooting off a front rest.
