Favorite jeans

About 15 years ago I bought three pairs of Carhartt B 17 Dark Stone jeans. They're stout 15 ounce denim and cut just right for me. They were the best jeans I've ever owned, and the last pair is ready for the ragpile.

So, I go to Carhartt to order some more, and of course, they have been discontinued. I found an online site that had three pairs left in my size. They're washed, dryed, folded, and in my closet. I imagine this three pair will outlast me.

About 1995 I bought 2 pairs of Carhartt type pants from Sportsman's Guide. They had a quilted red lining on the inside and were absolutely bulletproof against tears and so warm. Well, I wore one pair elk hunting for 5 years and never came close to wearing them out. Here is where it gets mysterious...The 2nd pair, still brand new seems to have shrunk?? The length is still ok but, but the waist area is the problem area!

Wrangler 47MWZPW for me. Sizing was good when made in Mexico, I guess the Mexican labor was to high for the bat rastard penny penchers so now there made in Nicaragua and the the sizing has went to Hello.

You must have the clothes dryer that I have. Seems all my old broke in comfortable jeans just won’t button or zip anymore

Levi 501's since I was old enough to pull a pair of pants.
Nothing else fits the same to me.
The brown carharts are super tough but if your working under pickup on the ground, all the stuff will fall out of your pockets. I had to go back and find my pocket knife one time.

I really like the Duluth trading flex fire hose pants they have a stretch waist band and due to the lack of my posterior support they don't fall down around my ankels as easy as regular jeans. Next step I guess it suspenders.
I really want to try them but the sizing is less than accurate, sure you can return them but you pay the shipping for a clothing item that is no where near any regular AMERICAN sizing chart, I did order several items pants a jacket and some shirts I wear large mostly not TENT...... So when I reordered the next two sizes down as per the ordering agent I suddenly felt a squeeze that cost me again..... No Duluth stores any where near me to go try them on, I do wear the Buck Naked boxers best undies made funny the sizing is spot on with them

I really want my OLD 1960s 70s LEVIS lasted forever patched to death, I lived 8 blocks from the San Francisco plant

I had to get 38 waist and I normally were 36. I have a store locally and was able to try them on first.
