Favorite electronic call

I’ve always used a mouth call but recently bought a Icotek outlaw. I really like it, lots of great features. When you get one always bring a mouth call out with you, if your like me you’ll forget to charge the electronic one up occasionally

Looking for a new call. Just wondering what some of you guys favorite electronic call was.
I own a Wildlife Technologies Mighty Adam, I Love the sound quality and hate the remote. I also have a Fox Pro CS24 with extra sounds from MFK downloaded onto it. Sound quality is ok and love the TX1000 remote. Another issue I have with my FoxPro; I wish I could set the caller farther away from where I'm sitting, 75 to 80 yards is about max distance on flat ground, any roll in the landscape creates a remote communicating to the caller problem.

This is funny I have a WT and love the remote so simple. I use on a regular basis the WT(Wildlife Technology), FoxPro CS-24 tx-500 remote(numeric keypad) and a Minaska M-1 Bandit (again numeric keypad). As you can tell I hate having to scroll for sounds, I hunt a lot of close cover and don't want to be looking down to read a remote.

Look at the features you want. Like I said I hunt a lot of close cover so simple is where it's at for me. I want to be able to use AA batteries as I go on long camping hunts and don't have access to a charger,110v power. All my calls hold 100+ sound and I usually never use more than 10 the whole season, in fact my three callers have the same type sounds that I use, different names but same type.

Is one better, no. Pick the features you like thinking about your terrain and hunting style. When I'm hiking on long circle hunts through no traffic areas I love the little Minaska. Hunting off the MC or truck the WT or FP go to work. I have a good idea where my coyotes will be coming from so I like being able to direct my sound(single horn speaker). I rarely hunt huge open spaces so again I don't need a massive amount of sound, coyotes have great hearing. You get the picture.

I like to play with callers, I'll buy a really cheap caller, funny they all call coyotes. I usually give them away to newbies.

I used to carry a little JS Attractor while bird hunting. Sometimes you come across a spot the just screams call here. Killed a few that way.

Good luck on your search.

Is there one that really has everything needed pre-recorded so that those that are technology challenged don’t have to download anything?

Lucky Duck Revolt comes with lots of great sounds for multiple species of calling. Best E caller I have ever used by far. I really don't like their system for adding new sounds though. I only want to buy a couple here and there I don't want a $300 sound pack. Factory setup really does have an excellent selection though.

Thank you! We could never learn how to download anything thing to the ico-tec.

I appreciate the calls and the volume of a Lucky Duck. However, they're chinese-made, and some features are poorly-designed, and weakly made. For example, the battery pack is connecterd by frail, thin wires. They recommend taking the batteries out after use so they don't drain down(another defect). Getting the battery unit in and out is just a PIA, and this puts stress on those thin wires, which inevitably break down. Lucky Duck has been generous enough to replace that unit, but it's still a PIA. Maybe the rechargeable system works better. No issues with the remote itself. And naturally these wires broke down after I was all bundled up and ready go out!
Too many negatives with Lucky Duck; it's just not made to last. I'd recommend American-made, probably Fox-Pro.

I am currently running a FoxPro CS-24 with TX-1000 remote. I just cleaned up the sound list yesterday as I was only using a dozen or so sounds out of the +100 that were there. I don't use half the features it has. I sent it back for a repair a few years ago and they turned the gain down. There are times I wish it were louder like before the repair. While the external battery pack is clunky and heavy I have never had it die on me over a day or two of calling.

Before the CS-24 I ran a Minaska caller and can't remember the model. Maybe an M1? It was in a smaller Pelican type case. I really liked how light, handy, and simple it was especially if I was don't a lot of hiking in rough country.

Before the Minaska I ran an older Wildlife Technologies. Sounds were VERY good compared to other callers at the time (~15-20y ago). Excellent volume. Bigger and heavier with cables, black box, and battery. I didn't care for the old 12 button remote.

I have heard very good things about Lucky Duck. They are supposed to have some excellent sounds.

Hope this helps some.

I really like my my Lucky Duck revolt. But as mentioned it does have a couple design issues. No storage for the little tri-pod was dumb too. I don't trust it to stay put while walking so I put it in one of my pockets. The best thing I've done to it is use the Energizer rechargeable batteries. But I still carry spares and a mouth call.

For those using AA and AAA batteries in the caller and remote. I have found the Lithium (Energizer) are well worth the extra cost for me. The Lithium last a LOT longer and don't seem to be affected by cold temps nearly as much and lighter too.

Ive had good luck with my Lucky Duck Super Revolt, recently was looking into maybe getting a FoxPro X24 or similar just to get some different Coyote howls and other Vocals

Got a few new Tony Tebbe sounds on my Super Revolt last night and headed out. Hunted a stand, good wind for a spot where there is some educated coyotes. Some new different sounds brought them right in.

I've had a Foxpro inferno for years, just use the factory sounds though... never tried uploading anything to it. It's compact enough that I haul it in a Maxpedition Jumbo Versipack, keeps everything contained (plus room for mouth calls, water-bottle etc.).

Im curious about the Freq, but a heck of a price tag
My buddy and I took the Freq out a couple weeks back. killed a few dogs and he couldn't keep himself from turning it up. Laughed my ass off, cuz he ALWAYS wants to play loud as hell. I used my Lucky Duck Revolt on a couple sets. I honestly can't say I could tell much difference, but they do suggest we "can't tell the difference due to frequency".
