What is your favorite .280 Remington powder for 140 grain bullet? Also, what is your favorite brand of bullet in the 140 grain range?

IMR 4064, H4350 and IMR 4350 have always given me the best results in my Ruger Number One-B .280, often producing groups under MOA. I usually load 150 grain bullets, but the above powders work well with 140 grains too. I generally use Hornady bullets but like Noslers too. Use a good manual for starter loads and work up carefully. My loads are hotter than most book values because I can seat my bullets out further than with most bolt guns since I don't need to worry about fitting in a magazine. The .280 is often under-rated and generally under loaded, but it is a great cartridge. Just be careful and follow all safe loading steps. Good luck and good shooting.

I shot 160g Sierra at 2950 with a max load of imr 7828, fed 215. This load load came right out of an old nosler manual, not a semi auto load.
