Favorite 110 grain, .30 loads

I have been playing with 110 grain V-Max bullets in my .30/06. On the first outing I was astounded by the accuracy of these loads! Three shot groups easily under .5" at 100 yards. You can get over 3,400 fps with them. Actually, TAC gave me in the 3,500 FPS. Why am I doing this? No reason, just wanted to know.
Has anyone else found great powders with this light bullet? My best was Varget.

I dont think you will be taking them deer hunting but dont. I tried the gamechanger at 3400 in a 300 win mag. last year and learned the hard way it was too fast. Just blew up didnt penetrate at all. Shot was good. He is still going I hope. Ought to be deadly on varmints. Dont remember the powder but the speed was 3400. Doug

Will not be using it for big game. Right now, just paper. Love to see what it would do to a prairie dog though!

The Speer 125 TNT from the 30-06 is brutal on varmints inside 300 yards. They are pretty close to the same as your VMax example.

The 125 TNT bullet got real popular with the CMP Wooden Guns crowds with a light charge of H4895. Those games are always fixed 200 yards, so the downloading helps with the offhand and rapid stages.

On account of that, I have them in some quantity and thought what the heck, let's have a test on a coyote and prairie dog... and then I understood why folks like them.

They flatten a coyote and the prairie dogs are pretty much disintegrated.
