fastest load development ever,,6BR

I was told to start with the 105 VLD seated .010 in the lands and work up to 30.5 grs Varget,,

when I am working on a new load I size and prime all my brass and load 5 rounds at a time as I have a concrete bench and a 300 yard range just out my basement door about 60 feet from my load bench,,that way I can load and shoot 5 rounds and let rifle set on rest while I go inside and load 5 more and so on,,

this AM I set my rifle up and started with once fired brass from same rifle sized with Redding FL-S size die with .266 bushing and primed with CCI 450 primers,,

I started .5 grs below the recommended load and loaded 7 rounds at 30.0 grs Varget and seated the 105 VLDH orange box .010 in the lands and went out and fired 2 foulers as I cleaned bbl last night and shot one five shot group ,,after seeing that I went back in and loaded 5 more exactly the same and attached the magnetospeed to check speed and spread,,those 5 clocked 2795 to 2807 ,,

think I will just load 100 rounds and forget load workup and just practice shooting at 600 yards,,

I always heard the 6BR was easy to tune but this is almost hard to believe,,

Wow! I had the same kind of scenario happen with mine. That's why I'm building another 6br. One question: 300 yard range, right out your back door. Guns that shoot like that with very little work up. What's it like in Heaven?

laid block and set a piece of sidewalk Grandpa poured in 1962 and notched with a concrete saw,,to say it is steady is an understatement,,figure it weighs close to 1,000 lbs,,

we own 80 acres this side of rd and guy across rd owns about 300 and his is the only house I can see from here,,

Don't you love it when it all comes together like that. That makes up for all the times you load for your guns and they won't shoot worth a hoot. Good shooting.

I ended up with your load also but .025" off the lands. It sure seems to work in a lot of rifles. You have a very nice set up sir.

That is nice. Back in the day, it looked like that around here (1970ish). The farmland was sold to developers and houses went up in the name of "progress". The new people don't hunt. Guns are bad, etc. Nice to see a place like yours.

where I live my Grandfather that was born 1920 his Grandfather owned this property and is where Momma and Daddy lived when I was born,,over in the hollow at the main property my Grandmother, that was born 1921,her Great grandmother on her Mothers side owned that property and is where Momma and two my brothers live now,,
it is just mainly an old Jackson Co Tn hillside farm not hardly 400 acres,,but believe me it aint for sale,,

I visited the area north of Carthage 15 years ago, around the Difficult TN. area, and let me tell you, there is no prettier place in Tennessee. At least that I have seen.
