Fantastic Shooting at Marshall, MO Midrange Regional

This weekend, Bucksnort Rifle club in Marshall, MO hosted it annual Fall NRA mid-range prone regional. Fantastic weather and a great turn out for the match.

Darrel Landolt bested us all turning in an outstanding performance. 799-47X.

The next closest competitor was at 797.

To add to that, during the team matches on Sunday, Darrel shot a pair of 200-16Xs. So for the complete weekend, he posted an 1199-79X.

All these scores were shot with his Tubb rifle chambered (by himself) in 6mm XC and shot with iron sights.

Way to go buddy!!!!!!!

They say that "Every dog has his day" but Darrel had a weekend!

You only see performances like that once in awhile and we were fortunate to witness that one.

He was HARD from the first shot and stayed that way thru two days.

Just proud to say I know him.

Bob,
I was fortunate to get to shoot at Marshall last weekend - conditions like that are something to remember. The match draws shooters from all over the region, and it's good to get to see some of them at least once a year. This was one of the very few matches I've shot this season, since my father had a bad heart attack back in May, and this was the first prone match I've shot since. Marshall's on my list of matches not to miss - am looking forward to making it back again next year.
