Factory Sako 222 ammunition

I've searched and searched, but can't find anything about this ammo. This forum seems to have the biggest 222 following of any forum I follow so thought I'd finally register so I could post instead of lurking in the shadows.

I found this ammo a few years ago at my wife's grandmother's house. I borrowed a 722 for a while and the accuracy was better than I expected while shooting groups (nickel groups at 100 yards with a lyman fixed 10x). I also killed a fall gobbler with the hpbt variety and while the result was death, penetration was severely lacking.

Hoping someone may have some info, it seems fairly old. I don't think I've come across this packaging before other than in a photo accompanying this article https://www.americanrifleman.org/articles/2016/7/27/the-222-remington-story/

I am a 222 fan, but I never saw that ammo packaging.

Used to shoot a .222 Magnum back in the late sixties & maybe early seventies. The Sako brass I used came in boxes just like those.

Thanks for posting your links about the 222,certainly a lot of beautiful rifles built for it over the years.Really enjoy reading anything by Layne.I would really covet your stash of ammo,probably cost a good buck back when the 222 was a youngster

That looks a whole bunch like my original 6ppc Sako ammo from the late 80’s. The PPC box is orange.
