Is the shipping issue a WI thing? No problem shipping from next door in MN.

Hoot

From what I have seen we can't ship loaded ammo through the postal service and I would have to drive 40 miles to a UPS hub. Then put up with an extremely high shipping rate
.

How do you ship live ammo. I have some good stuff but don't know how to ship
It's not complicated and surprisingly inexpensive to ship via UPS. Here's what I do:

- You need a UPS account which you do online. You name, etc. plus a credit card. UPS wants you as a customer and this isn't difficult at all. The cost to ship UPS is dramatically lower when you have an account.

- Pack the stuff up and weigh it. The advice I got about weighing was from a crusty older woman at a UPS Customer Center. Get on your bathroom scale and write down the weight, have your wife hand you the package and write down the total weight. The difference is how much the package weighs. If you claim it weighs two pounds and the driver can't pick it up by himself someone may question it.

- Go to your online account, fill in all the shipping info, print the label. The system will ask you if you want to schedule a pickup and tell you what the cost is. The last I paid was $8 to have the driver pick it up but it was for three packages and I couldn't drive my 4Runner sixty miles for that. I've since made arrangements to take my packages to a local independent pharmacy that has daily UPS pickup for their outgoing stuff and that doesn't cost me anything.

- Put the shipping label on the box along with a "Limited Quantity" label. You can find these online to print for free. My regular UPS driver when I lived in PA told me in a pinch you can even just draw the "square on point symbol" with a heavy magic marker.

- If you opted for UPS pickup put the package on the porch. If not take it to your favorite drop-off location.

Thanks for the info
