I've had a Tikka 695 for 25yrs. Incredibly smooth bolt and trigger, never a single problem. There are other models besides the Lite to fit your need, and as mentioned the 308 can always be found.

Tikka for sure. As others have mentioned, you don't need to buy the lite version. The Tikka T3X Hunter comes in about 7 pounds with a nice walnut stock. Less expensive but about as accurate would be the Vanguard/Howa1500.

Ruger American Predator in 6.5 creed. Not expensive, light weight, and accurate. I purchased one for my son years ago for $369. Tuned the trigger and re-tightened the stock, shoots factory ammo into .5 to .6
