Factory ammo - 6XC, 6BR accuracy

Hi guys, I reload for quite a few different calibres currently, but I was looking for a rifle to shoot 1k Bench rest socially, let new people try out as a sport etc and have an accurate cartridge that I can buy off the shelf without reloading for.

Can factory 6xc and 6br (and possibly 6.5x47L) ammunition cut it at this distance without it being a waste of time.
I know the accuracy benefits of reloading for the rifle etc...
I was thinking lapua factory ammo in 6br and 6.5x47, Norma in 6xc.

Many thanks for your insights and experience.

The factory Lapua ammo in 6 BR and 6.5x47 generally shoots ok as far as factory ammo goes. However, I doubt one could be competitive in 1,000 yd BR using it.

A tuner would go a long way to help factory ammo. For a "just for fun" rifle for friends to play with it might shoot pretty well. It might be moderately competitive for F Class at a mid level, for bench rest not a chance. Without a tuner you would just be at the mercy of what the rifle does or doesn't like.

The DTAC factory ammo shot crazy good in my 6XC but the vertical was not good at 1000. ES over 10 shots was about 60fps.

All of your pupils require only two small things to shoot tiny groups at any range..... an Instagram and a 6mm Creedmoor.
I have come to this conclusion because everyone I see on Instagram with a 6 Creed can shoot .050 groups off a bipod and at most 6” at 1,000 yards. Bahahahahahahaha.

But seriously, if you can get Lapua’s factory spec reamer and a tuner I don’t see why you couldn’t get a 6.5x47 shooting great at distance for new shooters.

you are now a member of the SCC,,

Much appreciated for your input guys, I did miss out on purpose "the cartridge which must not be spoken..."
I don't doubt it's validity, but the shop bought on the shelf option is king...and not a 308 also...lol

Our range has a record of inconsistent wind which when kind, we can get down to 3 and 4 inches as a group, but equally when it's unkind (read as 18-21 moa of wind).... you get the idea
