factory 22LR asprin shoot

I am in need of a 22LR for the factory class, at our new to the area asprin shoot. First shoot starts in a couple weeks. Whats a good shooting factory made 22LR? Or at least what rifles have the potential to shoot well? thanks Lee

•Included in the fee: 80 rounds of practice ammo (each shooter gets issued the same ammo for the shoot)

The suggested Anschütz is a good place to start. Great triggers, great barrels.

Having shot rimfire comps for decades the issue becomes, how accurate is your rifle with the supplied ammo, considering every 22LR rifle (and pistol) is a book unto itself. My Annie might do well w/ the supplied ammo, yours may not.

Plenty of choices in the 22lr. factory rifle world. Anschütz, Walther, Feinwerkbau, Bleiker, G&E, etc. small groups cost money, how small do you want it?

Hard to consider a Bleiker or the G&E as "factory." ;)

Lastly, with a frangible "target", your test groups can be competitive at >.5" since the 325mg tablet Ø is 11mm or .433"… .433 + 1/2 .222 bullet Ø or .544". so a "zero group" rifle isn't "necessary" other than being a confidence builder. :)

I agree on the Annie. I routinely split playing cards at 100 yards with my 1913. BUT there is one big caveat....will it shoot the SUPPLIED AMMO? My accuracy drops a fair amount with anything but Eley Tenex or maybe a good lot of Match and I seriously doubt the ammo supplied for your match will be top quality stuff. I have a Savage MII BBL that will do very well at 50 yards with mid-grade ammo (Wolf Match Extra or CCI Green) and it only cost me about $300 at the time I bought it.
Just noted the date on your post...oh well! :-[. What did you end up shooting and how did you do?
