f/tr stock length?

Ok folks im going to start a stock build for my F/TR rifle with a 30" barrel. I was wondering if there were any standard or recommend lengths for the forend from the front of the action to the tip? I read somwhere between 16 and 18 inches? Is that about common? I know the lenght of pull is more about comfort for the shooter. Im more concerned about the length and width if the forend.

Thanks.

Ive got a scale on the way for figuring my weight. I think i will start long and shorten if needed. Do you happen to know what the length of the PRT stock is? I plan on puttin a rail in so i can move my bipod out as far as possible or bring it in some as needed.

it will mostly be shot at local shoots where weight usnt a concern but i want to stay around 18.1 pounds.
